Our Menu

In Little Sprouts we are focus on your children's physical and educational development. We had designed a menu with local and organic products to fit a healthy and delicious diet. Every week we pick up the fruit and veggie of the season and try to work around that. For example, we can use farm potatoes and watermelon to create a fun menu. Potatoes pancake with watermelon slices for breakfast or roasted potatoes, squash and carrots with greek yogurt and honey for lunch.

Our snacks consists in healthy option like rice crispy crackers, yogurt, raisins, banana slices with PB or tortilla chips with hummus dip. We try to change snacks every week and some days we prepare them with the children so they can get involve in cooperation, sharing and cleaning.

This is a sample menu, when you enroll your kiddo at Little Sprouts you will get a full monthly menu:

Breakfast:
Fruit salad, whole wheat toast and a glass of milk

Lunch:
Spaghetti squash with apple slices.

Snack:
Homemade granola bars

Our philosophy

In Little Sprouts is all about one on one learning process. Each kid will have an individual time with the teacher to learn letters, numbers, shapes, art or music. We focus on the children's creativity to create a one of a kind learning experience. Most of the activities are based on the children's ideas in the daily group time. For example, we create a puppet show about the weather were the clouds and the sun are trying to win a competition. The kids made the puppets, create the story and act on the show. At the end, we talk about the lessons learnt in the show.

Our visits outdoors are specially important to search, investigate and proof science projects. Kids love to explore the nature so Little Sprouts give them all kinds of tools as jars, magnify glasses, bags and more to do so. When the children return to class, we share our findings and compare them. We write a science diary, maps, drawings and watch videos about nature.
Art is also very important to enhance children's creativity. We facilitate all the materials for the children to create an art master piece with freedom and fun. Some materials are homemade as play dough, paint or clay for the little ones. We also love to make oversize painting so the kids can open their imagination.

Along with those classes, we offer specific lesson as music, origami, collage, clay, recycle art and paper mache creations. Each kid will choose which specific class would like to take every season. That is one of the reasons why Little Sprouts is different, we educate, educate, educate in a fun and save environment. It is a very individualize learning process that brings great results.
